Food safety
Controlling the safety of food along the food production chain is a key aim of 5.4.5 Area: Methods of Analysis, Detection and Control. The EU and NZ are at the leading edge of research in this area. The pace of change in food production methods, combined with recent innovations in detecting and characterising food-borne hazards, has resulted in a number of new advances in food-risk management. FOOD-FRENZ will be an ideal forum to showcase these advances and generate new ideas for future EU-NZ collaborative research into food safety.
